dripped down the back wall,
and soaked us undressed on the floor.
and my imperfections look so good against yours,
the curves and the scares blur as one in the dark.
i found your collarbone,
traced a path to your throat,
and whispered this heavy in your ear.

i smiled to myself,
cause thought i had it all figured out.
but isn't that just how is goes?
it takes the simplest thing
so hummbling.
the more i learn, the less that i know.
and i held out a stare till you could almost hear
the tension rise in the room.
and the sound harmonized,
perfect metor, perfect time.
