but surely this cannot be over
the truth be told,
the walls stare hard against these days
as if they knew everything
it's not the case
you know that feeling when you're floating
close to drowning
when you're hoping for something more
when you look down you'll find there's just no way to turn
so let's dig down
i guess it's time we learned how to fly
there's no pretending happy endings when we're trapped inside of our lives
sometimes you don't know where you are until you're there
and it's too late to find a better way to live
you're in too deep
so in the end we'll look back on distant times
when we'd begin to understand that life is only what we make of it
