The River Letra

and reminisce better days
And whilst the world just keeps spinning
and my vision keeps fading
and my heart's suffering this infection
from this religious backlash
And sweet Jesus if you're my savior
I'm writing you this letter
today might be a good day
for you to do your thing
But I'm trying not to be greedy
though I'm feeling pretty needy
It's just that I could do a lot with
a little shot of faith

The bible is just so heavy
and I feel so relentless
so your big book of happiness
isn't doing much today
So just take me to the river
where I can watch the raindrops hit the water
where they'll reunite with their sisters and brothers
