I took a walk last night confusion ruled my mind like when you wake up in a dream nothing seemed to rhyme sometimes it's hard to find, some sense, a clue, a strategy all my worries they never felt so strong 'guess it's time to set a course, and find a thing to head upon wasting time has lasted far too long a drowning man clutches at a straw but the current can be awful strong (Chorus): fear the river it takes you to the sea it makes you loose the ground, the ground under your feet when the shore gets slowly out of reach when the water gets too deep youth lasts for a while then gets lost in time somehow gets lost along the way I wish that I had stayed a child it's sad that one day children stop to play
