Holland
We planned a trip to Italy, we got so darned excitedWe bought a bunch of guidebooks and we learned a phrase or twoWe packed our bags and off we went, directly for the airportAs prepared as we could be for something altogether newWe'd mapped out all the prime locations, Rome, Milan, and FlorenceWe connected with our agent about nine months in advanceWe knew this trip would change our livesWe went to classes, husbands, wivesWe didn't want to leave one thing to chanceBut when we landed we were in HollandItaly is what we had in mindThis was not what we'd come all this way to findWe couldn't change it, we got our baggageAnd we began a trip we never in a million yearsCould have imaginedWe got our footing quickly though, there wasn't time to take things slowWe got some brand new guidebooks and we learned a whole new languageWe met people who we never knew, existing here in HollandReluctant as we were with all these unexpected changesNowadays we still see everybody all around usBusy coming and going off to Italy as plannedLetras de cancionesThey're all bragging what a great timeAnd they pass around their picturesWe smile and say, "Your trip sounds very grand"And when we're honest, we're exhaustedAs we walk the streets of now-familiar townsA different dream is what we've landed here and foundBut we have tulips, we have RembrandtsAnd we remember that not everyone will knowSuch different kinds of beauty From Letras Mania
