Traveling Men (the Pond)
catapulted over walls, over highways and minimalls
crash landed by the pond where i'd swim once my life was gone
but that wasn't for some time
so i dried off and left
and lost my wristwatch
hitched a ride, i'm holding fast to the tire of a bus that passed
bought a watch, but the clock was wrong at the station where i'd get off once my life was gone

so i rested my hands
and lost my wristwatch
gambling with some traveling men
walking through the city in the acid rain
my body dissolved so i poured into the drain
i trickled down channels and emerged watchless
in the very same pond where i'd one day rest
but that still wasn't for some time
so i changed phase and left
and lost my wrist watch
