This Winters Dream

In An Emergency, The Devil Eats Flies
I have seen the barren landscapes Dotted with the charred columns of fallen empires Leaving us to stew in the consequences of past empires turned to ruin Even and always after the most torrential fires Life begins anew! Fists clenched I'm going to heaven to talk to god and this time it's personal The walls echo with blood The false prophet dictates – the false prophet dies! Man's soul is in mortal peril The dangers unforeseen Cloaked Shadowed Plummeting into the sea Of all the words of mice and men The saddest are “it might have been” Bathe in the flames of a life that only myths have told A vast land Waiting to be explored – a land of caverns Forests And moors Sitting on a hillside Watching the sun set over the trees Feel the possibilities – the life carried on the breeze! Life! But how to live? This is my diathesis. . From Letras Mania
