Lightning
When the lightning flashes too bright It reveals all the things that have gone wrong in this night At the crossroads where she stands so thin Trace the blood on the tracks, it'll lead back to where she's been And I knew it, like I'm always right There's a fire in the sky, makes a big rock shining bright It's a reflection, like the one I saw in you No light of your own, you've got to steal it like the moon And so this is all I take. Watch me crumble it up and I'll throw it away. But it grows like a seed from the ground And you'll see what is lost, it can always be found It seems that I've gone without you for too long And all these days won't matter when we're gone. You can hold me down and tell me that I'm wrong. But I've got bigger things on my mind. And it's started, it was all too soon My eyes transfixed through opposite side of the moon And these words we send both proud and shy Like soldiers they march, for this cause they will die But these wars we fight they have no reason The soldiers we send they all come home bleeding (what's this for) Letras de cancionesAnd we'll piece it together now someone is listening But this puzzle's no picture because pieces are missing. (what's this for) And it seems that I've gone without you for too long And all these days won't matter when we die. You can't hold me down and tell me that they're right. Because I've got bigger things on my mind. When we grow up too fast and learn to bleed Pitch our tents under lightning and swim out to sea And we'll die in the wreck they say But I've got air in my neck So, when it reaches my lungs I can state my opinion Slit the throats of these doubts and have a new beginning And if all the flustered egos and tanks of gas Mean another life and another chance then I'm fine And all these days won't matter when we're gone. You can't hold me down and tell me that I'm wrong. And all these days won't matter when we die. I'll hold you tight because I know we'll be just fine. Just fine, just fine, just fine.
