your yard was covered with snow and the fields all around were white
and you were barefoot while we waited, standing with me outside
in the cold on your front porch your socks had the stars on them that i saw the night before
i remember they were blue and white
and i was nervous and so were you
but we laughed and did it anyhow
and now you're on a plane to far from me and im missing you already
and please tell me that even if your 3000 miles away
that's not too far for you to remember me
what will you remember about me when your gone?
