Tree Of Knowledge
Rising from the flames that burn I have an image that I hold so dear And I am starting to see the details as the smoke begins to clear For I have seen my life before me and from this I take a stand Right beside the ones in question as we take matters into our own hands. For I have eaten from the tree of knowledge And I have tasted the juice of thought And I know now just where I need to go With an urgency to forge the unknown. The religious right can curse me as evil and say I live in shame But my life's been left out of your book and you don't even know my name Known to passion known to pain and from this I can sustain On the truths within my power and not your righteous words ordained. For I have eaten from the tree of knowledge And I have tasted the juice of thought And I know now just where I need to go With an urgency to forge the unknown. From Letras Mania
