I thought the earth remembered me She took me back so tenderly Arranging her dark skirts full of lichens and leaves I slept as never before, a stone on the riverbed With nothing between me and the bright fire of the stars But my thoughts And they floated light as moths I hear small kingdoms breathing The creatures writhe and stir In the night I fall so eagerly To vanish into something better I rose and fell as if in water Grappling with a luminous doom By morning I had fell at least a thousand times Into something better…to something better From Letras Mania
