Memory, I have to say
You’ve done your job
But in the wrong way
You remember each day
As if they’re all the same
Arranged in sequences
the dates don’t mean as much as they should
But I’ll need the details soon
for when we’re supposed to be old
for when our bodies don’t need to grow
for when our summer health is low
and we’ll say “how I loved it so”
