Letra de Why So Dreary?
I've just been killing time with cigarettes and sifting through some past regrets.
I'd like to let you know -
The worst is that we ever met and nothing really came of it.

We could have kicked around the city 'til our shoes were a wreck
And then stepped to your heart at the discotheque,
Cause its beat and the music weren't too far apart.
We could have shared bygone ways from bygone days
But we never got to color shades into the grays
And so paid no mind to each other's art.

But even if we did, how would we have fared?
I remember asking myself,
If I came 'round do you think she'd like to see me,
Or would she slip away discreetly?
And even so, what should compel me to care?
Cause don't you know everything ends eventually?
So, why so dreary?

I know it had its ways of getting to you,
But I'd hoped apathy wouldn't get the best of me, too.
