Letra de Creatures Of Habit
Keep the vultures at bay!
For they are greedy for their prey.
They circle and search – salivating
Gossip dripping from their beaks
To devour the latest kill.

The words, “Oh my god!” and “Did you hear…?”
Must taste so sweet upon their tongues.
If only they would really call upon The Name.

And look these laughing dogs
They’re so charismatic, so entertaining
But don’t overlook their blasphemy
Applause confirms:

God is just another joke to us!
They will say what they may.
But that’s not to say we’re any better,
Or that anyone is beyond grace

You think you know so much
But one day reality will dawn
You’ve been collecting water
With buckets full of holes.
This doesn't make any sense.

This will not satisfy or last.

This culture is a monster
With a hundred ears and a thousand mouths.
It knows nothing but says everything.
It has forsaken peace.
This culture is a monster
Speaking out in heresy
O, my God, what have we done?
It has forsaken peace.

Prince of Peace, free us from our hard hearts,
And from this world that clings to ardent disbelief.
Make us meek to lift up the broken and weak.
And to stand bold against the bloody thief. (1 Peter 5:5-11)

Don’t lean on what you think you know,
Or what you’ve seen or heard
These aren't the ways
Of the Kingdom of above!
Don’t lean on what you think you know,
We’ve been brainwashed to believe we’re in control.
As if all the answers were in our hands.
But they’re not. He is on the throne! (Proverbs 3:5-8)

We’ve been blinded by a thief in the night
Who does not want us to see
This world he's wrought
With eyes that discern right from wrong.
Right from wrong.

This culture is a monster
With a hundred ears and a thousand mouths.
It knows nothing but says everything.
It has forsaken peace.
This culture is a monster
Speaking out in heresy
O, my God, what have we done?
It has forsaken peace.

Prince of Peace,
Keep the vultures at bay
O, Lord we pray,
Keep the vultures at bay
