Tonight I can't sleep I toss and turn
visions of chestnuts on the fire being burned
I'm anxious sleeping with one eye opened bigger
than the other to see if Santa is real like I figured
my mothers always stressing I ain't asleep tonight
but I ain't going out without a sight
every time my eyes close
I start dreaming about sugar plums and fairies on my nose
there's somebody up in the back
but I don't know who it is so I put on my slacks
I can hear him on the roof from deep in the covers
I throw open the window & I don't see the brother
he owns a red wizard hat like I own
a red suit and a candy cane like my own
some might say take a chill b
but I believe so much that I have to see he
I'm sitting near the tree when the wind blows
every 20 seconds through the chimney like a window
I set all my traps
and check my video as I pass
now I'm staring at the elf at the corner

This year Christmas fell on a weekend
so me and DJ dust are fake sleeping
waiting for the sleigh to pass
hiding on the roof with clubs and masks
hoping for a chance to use this mace
I hear the bells & my heart changed pace
we'd be in for a squab no doubt
then we came to our senses and went back in the house
he wouldn't really come we figured
but then we heard the sound get bigger
and just as it came it began to leave
then I heard the voice that haunts my sleep
so we started yelling at em
dropping them deepspace bombs on em
the more I screamed the faster he flew
then he disappeared and dust disappeared too

I wasn't even close to Christmas eve
it was June and I was laying on the street
