it was early in july,
we just watched the fireworks,
the smoke still covered the skys like a thick fog,
the house was crowded so we went for a walk,

we raced barefoot down the beach,

friday night rolled around,
your parents went out to dinner and left us alone,
we sat on the balcony and watched the sunset,
you sat there nibbling on your twizzlers,
we had some fun,
throwing ice at cars,
causing lots of trouble,
we stayed up late that night talking,
about nothing in particular,
i layed in bed next to you,
but you just layed there and i feel off the bed and back to the floor....

now you dont come around,
your too concerned with your image to notice someone like me,
the way you let me go i never will forget,
"i cant be more then friends",
those words broke my heart,
for weeks i sat in my room listening to sad music thinking of you,
i tryed to avoid you in the halls,
everytime i saw you i died,
you didnt even care,
you found someone else,

you found everything you wanted,
and lost everything you had.
