When I was a young boy, I thought that the world was comin' to me. Long summer days in the shade smokin' weed underneath the apple tree. Oh, when I thought I had forever to be everything I wanted to be. I was told there's a special place in heaven for the dreamer and the believer in me. But I'll be okay, I'm not alone, I'm not afraid. I'll be okay for now. But don't leave me hangin'. Don't let me down. Don't leave me waiting for you to come around, 'cause time is a slow killer, and killin' time only slow me down. Time is a slow killer. Now that I'm older I see how the years have passed me by. There's so much more I coulda done 'stead of spendin' my time gettin' high. But I'm not sayin' that I did the wrong thing and I'm not sayin' I want it back again and I'm not quite now where I thought I'd be then, it's okay 'cause I am who I am. I'm a skinny mother fucker just looking for somebody just like everybody else that I know. Tell me why with so many people in this beautiful world does anybody have to be alone? I would save the entire world if I could but I can't so all I can do is try to do what is right. For my friends and my family, myself living happily ever after for the rest of my life.
