These bands get too much fucking play,
It's all I hear all night and day.
They only ever play what sells,
Drive-Thru Records can go to hell.

I wonder what Joe Strummer'd say,
If he heard Taking Back Sunday,
Or if the Sex Pistols could hear,
Just a little Story Of The Year.
Bands that once rocked now drop like flies,
Just take a look at AFI,
Is punk rock really dead or did it,
Turn into this generic shit?

Now "Anarchy In The UK",
Is something I don't hear today,
But "The Young And The Hopeless",
Is blarring across the whole US.
It really is a crying shame,
And I think we all know who's to blame:
The good ol' folks at MTV.
Punk's just not what it used to be...
