How long will it be before it is our turn?

You're a tool of government oppression
A fixture in a long procession
Of caskets full of people who thought their government was right
Patriotism is extortion
The propaganda is a lie
For their cause I refuse to kill or die

Take a stand, raise your voice
It's up to you to stand up and make a choice
Freedom or death, I choose dissent
I won't be a martyr for a corrupt government

As you wave your flag the bombs come down
Destroying families, lives and towns
While a man with blood-stained pockets lines his wallet in DC
I will not participate
In a system based on hate
War for peace is not the way for me
