Beginnings & Ends
it's fascinating to think
that i'll never see me
or you, you
through the eyes of another
objective observer
isn't it crazy to be
of a species who's cursed with
the knowledge of
beginnings & ends
universal connection
entangled in this spider web
if one falls off we all fall dead
but ignore it and pretend that you don't care
you keep running ahead
but you can't catch up
feet blistered and sore
your running has lost it's reason
so i choose to hide behind this furry face
and my illusion of what's
wrong and right
that's right, i choose to hide behind
this empty space
and my idea of what's
dark and light
