I Have an Idea
You wake up everyday with the same black bird in mindand I’d like to see you tickled pink;hear you hum yourself to sleep.Over and over and over they’ll say,“Well he was quite a catching twenty-two but then, he wouldn’t die for you.”I wake up everyday a startled bird in the backyard and myheavy, halfway open eyeshalfway apprehend the light.Over and over, it’s over, and I have an idea:Let’s bury your letters with the bird in the backyard.I wake up everyday hopelessly devoted and I’ve nothing but a feathered achingmigrating through the day.Overhead, over and over it sways:Could we tape up our lashes and change…from the backyard?Help me tape up my lashes. Here’s a new book about what I am not yet.Let’s change. Here, help me tape up my lashes. Here’s a new book about what I am not yet.Let’s change. Please, help me tape up my lashes. Here’s a new book about what I am not yet.Let’s change. Well...it was just an idea. From Letras Mania
