Acony Bell
The fairest bloom the mountain knowIs not an iris or a wild roseBut the little flower of which i'll tellKnown as the brave acony bellJust a simple flower so small and plainWith a pearly hue and a little known nameBut the yellow birds sing when they see it bloomFor they know that spring is coming soonWell it makes its home mid the rocks and the rillsWhere the snow lies deep on the windy hillsAnd it tells the world "why should i waitThis ice and snow is gonna melt away"And so i'll sing that yellow bird's songFor the troubled times will soon be gone
