you fear the world and turn away
from all the things that might be right
however dim mistakes might be
at least you find them in the light
life never asks for your consent to
shake your path or change its course
keep looking for the beauty in the world
you’re not that far, the world is not so terrible
to turn away from all the things
that scare you every single day
to close your eyes and stand there still
won’t make your problems go away
be patient with the time
and always take the time to smile
remind yourself to breathe
when your life is shaken
